System Requirements
Openfiler is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit industry standard server hardware. It can also be installed in a virtual machine environment as a guest OS in Xen, Virtual Iron and VMware.
For production deployment in either virtualized or bare-metal configuration, we recommend 64-bit Intel Xeon or AMD Opteron architecture processors for best performance. Future releases of Openfiler may only support 64-bit processors therefore they are highly recommended for new Openfiler installations.
